Design PROCESS
The Design Phase is where your ideas start taking shape. Instead of rushing into a rough quote, we take the time to design and document your joinery so it reflects your space, lifestyle, and budget with accuracy.
Your journey begins with a complimentary Discovery Call or Meeting. We discuss your goals, style, budget, and timeline to ensure we’re the right fit.
Before any design work begins, we’ll confirm the scope with a Design Engagement Agreement and take a retainer to secure time with a qualified designer dedicated to your project. The retainer is scaled to the size and complexity of your job and is drawn down fairly as the design progresses (billed in transparent 30-minute increments). You only pay for the design you need—whether that’s selections support, layout refinement, or a full design package.
Depending on your project:
Renovations: we meet on-site to measure existing spaces, review layout options, and discuss finishes, appliances, and fixtures.
New Builds: bring your architectural plans to our factory. We’ll sit down with you to discuss your requirements, selections, and design intent in detail.

Your design meeting can be held on-site at your home or at our factory showroom. For new builds, many clients prefer to bring their plans into our factory to sit down with the designer, while renovation clients often find an on-site consult more practical. We’ll choose the option that best suits your project.
Bring anything that helps us understand your style and needs: architectural plans, inspiration images, Pinterest boards, appliance details, or material samples. The more detail we have, the more accurate and tailored your design will be. If you don’t have much prepared, that’s fine too — our designer will guide you through the process step by step.
Most meetings take around 1–2 hours, depending on the scope of your project. We’ll take the time needed to listen, explore your options, and map out the next steps without rushing the process.
