Our Process

Our FOUR-Step Process

When it comes to renovating your kitchen, you don’t want just any renovations team, you want a dedicated team who is committed to providing exceptional service. Our four-step process is unmatched in the industry, and we take it very seriously. We believe in clear and consistent communication from the initial meeting, to the design and build stage, and all the way through to installation.

Our team is dedicated to ensuring that your renovation experience is as smooth and stress-free as possible and that you end up with a kitchen that not only looks beautiful but also functions perfectly for you and your family. With us, you can trust that your kitchen renovation project is in good hands.

STEP 1: DREAM

The first step is to book a no obligation Discovery call or meeting with us at our factory to give you the chance to get an understanding of how we work and who we are so that you can feel at ease and build your confidence that we are the right fit for you and your project.

This stage requires a thorough conversation with you, diving deep into your project to understand how we can best help you. We will discuss your desired outcome, budget, timelines, scale and most importantly you have the opportunity to ask as many questions you may have to put your mind at ease whilst we get to know one another.

Whether you’re looking for a unique design for your kitchen, a custom-built walk-in robe or a one-of-a-kind piece of joinery, our team has the skills and experience to bring your vision to life.

Step 2: Design

Custom project documentation for residential new builds and renovations

The design service is charged at a cost independent of your project quote. The cost of the design service is determined by your project scope and requirements. The design documentation is used to accurately quote your project and ultimately forms part of your contract with us should you proceed with Create Joinery.

STEP 3: CREATE

With the latest machinery, our joinery is handcrafted and manufactured by us in our factory in Loganholme. We have a rigorous quality control process and assemble all of our joinery at our factory before installation, so we know that your joinery is perfect.

You can feel confident that your joinery it fitted with the highest quality materials and inclusions, as our standards are of the highest quality.

We only choose the most reputable brands – Hafele, Blum etc. to deliver the highest standard of quality for every piece of joinery we produce.

The best thing about working with a designer and manufacturer is that you will have the best possible outcome for your project, custom designed and made perfectly for you!

Step 4: Install

The installation stage is the last and most crucial part of the process, where our bespoke cabinetry is fitted seamlessly into your space.

We understand that renovations can be disruptive which is why all of the planning comes into fruition at this stage, with our specialist team you can be confident that the installation process will go as smoothly as possible. We will ensure that your joinery is installed to the highest standards, taking into account all the necessary measurements and details to ensure a perfect installation.

The final result will be a cohesive and well-designed space that not only looks great but also functions optimally. We understand that this can be a stressful time for our clients, and that’s why we make sure to keep you informed throughout the installation process, ensuring that everything is done on time and to your satisfaction.

Once your project is complete, we are dedicated to after-care, should you need anything, just give us a call!

Process FAQs

1. Book discovery call or meeting:

The first step is to schedule a complimentary discovery call or meeting with us at our factory. This gives you the chance to get an understanding of how we work, and who we are, while we get to know you, the scope of your project and to understand how we can best help you. Knowing the next steps will help put your mind at ease and build your confidence that our service is the right fit for you and your project.

Once you decide that if what we do works for you, you will have an onsite consultation with a qualified designer where the designer will listen carefully to what you are looking for as an end result and talk about what is important to you.

  • Meeting on-site to discuss their joinery design needs
  • Discussion about finishes, fixtures and accessories
  • Discussion about layout options and design features
  • Discussion about appliances and fixtures that would meet your needs
  • Full site measure-up of the existing spaces
  • A design package tailored exactly to your needs
Please note: Design services is a separate service, charged prior to quoting of your joinery project, you will receive detailed project documentation that you can use for tendering. Should you proceed with us, we use these plans to quote your project, ultimately forming part of your contract with us.

Design Documentation:

CAD Plans:

We develop and produce a full set of detailed custom joinery plans for your new home or renovation. These working drawings form part of the final build contract to provide clarity and ensure everyone is on the same page whilst giving you peace of mind that you know the end results prior to commencement of the project.

Finishes and Specifications Schedule:

The specifications list is critical to enable us to provide accurate quoting for your project and ensures that we allow for the exact materials that you have chosen. With detailed plans and specifications you have confidence that you will not have any unexpected surprises later on.

3D Image modelling and rendering (if required):

We understand that you are investing a lot into your new build or renovation, so it’s important to see exactly what it will look like before it is complete. We offer a 3D Imaging service where we can show you what your space will look like once completed, with the exact materials. This takes the stress out of wondering how

it will look after all the hard work is done.

Project Quote:

A quote for your cabinetry is provided to you based on the drafted joinery plans and documentation. Should you proceed with our quote, we move on to the next stage of your project which is a check measure to confirm measurements, assess the site conditions and determine full project scope. Thereafter, we draft manufacturing plans for construction and if anything has changed from design phase (material, scope of project etc) a final project quote is produced.

We offer full project planning solutions tailored to your requirements. Depending on your scope and project requirements we also provide trade estimates for your project. Once you proceed with us for your project, we will arrange on-site inspections by relevant trades to confirm their costs.

After the onsite meeting with the designer please allow up to 14 business days to draft your project documentation and for us to quote your joinery project. Each project is unique and it takes time to deliver this.

Following your approval to proceed with Create joinery and a 10% deposit has been made, we perform a site measure to confirm measurements, assess site conditions and determine full project scope. We will also confirm the design, if any changes are required, you will either revise them with the designer or we will make the changes as part of drafting our manufacturing plans for your project.

Once check measure is complete and we have confirmed design and specifications, we draft manufacturing plans and issue you with your contract and final project quote based on your unique requirements. Once check measure progress payment is made, we get on to the fun stuff, manufacturing to create and bring your dream joinery to life!

Please note: We cannot start manufacturing until we have complete project information required for manufacturing. We are committed to delivering and installing joinery perfect for your requirements and your space. If some aspects of the design are left as unknown as you are still making up your mind, this is perfectly fine. However, please understand that we cannot commence manufacturing until we have complete information.

The Production Timeline

Please review project timeline guideline below. This is a general guide to manufacturing timeframes once your project is at manufacture stage to give you an indication on how long your project will take to complete. This timeline is for manufacturing stage only, please do not take into account design stage and quoting within overall timeframe as the design stage is completely separate, this process takes as long as it needs to, we do not rush the design stage as it is one of the most crucial stages, it is not uncommon for this stage to take a few weeks and ultimately this stage depends on you and how much time you need.

Many factors contribute to the time taken to produce your high-quality custom joinery, including material and supplier delays, third party trade delays and weather. Larger projects may be split into multiple stages (i.e. Kitchen & Robes in one stage, Laundry & Vanities in another). Variations may delay your overall project timeline and will only be initiated once they are signed and returned.

Please note: Our Production lead time can vary (usually between 1 – 6 weeks) depending on how many projects are currently under construction and the stage these projects are at.

We will contact you approximately two to three days prior to your Installation Start Date, to confirm a time for our team to arrive on site. Installation time can vary depending on the size and scope of your of your project.

Tysons design ideas is second to none . He stripped out the old Kitchen and we let him design the new Kitchen after he consulting with us what we liked and didn't like . To say we were gobsmacked by the end result is an understatement. It is the centre piece of our house . He has since done our Laundry and Bathroom and we are completely happy with the end result . Would highly recommend him to anyone .
